Elmer - "Keep those K7 reports coming!!! And lets hope for better benchmarks..."

Make sure to read this that was already posted: amdzone.com

It is a translation of the article that was in Japanese about the K7. The article does say that AMD didn't do open benchmarks.

BTW, I am suprised at how much you are anticipating K7 info, almost as much as an AMD person (hmmmm, Intel people are called Intelabees, what are AMD people called?)

Elmer - Re: "AMD confessed it was "first silicon"

That's surprising.

Didn't McMannis claim that AMD had first silicon in June or July ?

Either that sucker is darn near perfect, or AMD can't debug it yet, or they aren't as far along as "Winky" says they are !

Godzilla !

I can just see the K7 "taking a bite" out of a Taco Bell Gordito !

dash albert would love it!

Paul

The way read the excellent Japanese translation is that if the K7 is 1.0 "daaaaa wows" then Katmai is likely .6 -.75 "daaaaa wows" on a logarithmic scale :}

Elmer,

Re: "Keep those K7 reports coming!!! And lets hope for better benchmarks..."

Maybe we can get Fuchi to run his "world famous" Microsoft Word benchmarks.
These are where Fuchi loads MSWord ... again and again. I know that the
NSM thread has been waiting "desparately" for these benchmarks. <ggg>

Make It So,
