jhild:

...You can expect your very own "Buddy Gram" shortly.

Can I get one, too?

You do know that the folks over on the DGIV thread just love Mr. Greig. Remember this story:

The Wall Street Journal Interactive Edition -- July 9, 1998

Public Relations Firm Joins
Chorus of Net Cheerleaders

By CARRIE LEE
THE WALL STREET JOURNAL INTERACTIVE EDITION....

...Digitcom's relationship with Liberty Capital came to an end earlier this year when the public relations firm butted heads with Digitcom over new contract terms, according to Cheryl Mitchell, a former employee of Liberty Capital. She says that when the deal fell through, Mr. Greig instructed Liberty employees to call investors and suggest that they consider taking profits on their Digitcom shares.

Ms. Mitchell says Mr. Greig told Liberty Capital employees to "get on the phone and tell [our contacts] that there are Swiss buyers who have told [Mr. Greig] that they felt Digitcom has reached its correct valuation and that they were selling 1.5 million shares."

Mr. Greig calls Ms. Mitchell's account of the matter false. He acknowledges learning of a rumor about European sellers from Internet message boards, but says: "I have no direct knowledge of anyone calling [Digitcom investors] and telling anyone to sell their shares," he says. "I had to fire [Ms. Mitchell]. Anything she has to say is suspect."

Ms. Mitchell says she was fired after she questioned the validity of the rumor.
