>>The liquidity picture looks pretty good right now..<<

I understand the liquidity boost, but my concern is where the liquidity is going presently. This doesn't look like intstitutional buying anymore. Warren Buffet isn't buying AMZN <g>. (Actually heard there was a rumor he is going back into Bonds again and as he is usually 6 months early on his plays, that would bode well for the spring crash scenario)

I hope you are right as I do have some calls and am watching for a few more plays when the over bought indicator settles back down a little bit.

Still feel the time period we are approaching is going to be light on good news to continue the Mo Mo.

Good Luck,

Lee

Gersh,

>>>>> At the end of December phase II of the Japanese big bang will go into effect. That will be the first time that the small guy will be able to invest outside Japan. Last survey that I saw showed that ~30% of current Japanese retirement funds will relocate to the US..<<<<<<

That is a very interesting survey, and that 30% figure sounds very high on a subjective basis. There is a sense of nationalism in Japan and some other Asian countries which are at levels higher than those commonly witness in AMERICA. In the past American companies constantly complained that JAPAN purposely closed/set obstacles for American made goods to be purchased in Japan, and such is true. However, few would tread on the topic of the Japanese strong sense of nationalism to purchase Japanese goods. This becomes a touchy subject since it also finely borders subtle racism. I am not justifying it just making a comment.

On the other hand, and to give a balanced view, I believe, to a lesser degree, we also saw such here. Im sure many are not aware that MIRAD(spelling?-which is a federal agency noted for spying during WWII), had a task force untill 2 years ago with the sole purpose to convince American exporters and importers to use only American Flag carriers for their imports and exports, and their main targets were against the JAPANESE,CHINESE,KOREAN,SINGAPOREAN steamship companies. Without going into detail, I can assure all that at times it was not the best example of human nature. An old colleage of mine headed this task force.

My point is that to expect an immediate strong inflow from Japan, for reasons outside of economics, may not be as strong as many expect. I could be dead wrong - which would be great for the global community, from the social aspect.
