This is well documented. The crossover point for SAP came in 1996 - that's when NT sales exceeded all other platforms for the first time. The ratio has shifted even more since then, up to about 65% NT in 1997.

Oracle crossed over in 1997 in revenue but a lot earlier in units - the NT sales per unit are a lot lower than the Unix sales. This is not just the Oracle Apps business - it's true for the database sales as well.

I can go back and dig up hard references but this is widely known and had been predicted inside those companies in 1995 based on the relative growth rates.

DownSouth, just look at the most recent Oracle numbers to substantiate this. Links are posted on the Orcl thread. This is very old news, maybe 3 years now.
