The TSE is replacing its smaller indexes -- 35, 100 and 200 indexes at the end of this year and creating a new index. They are turning over management of this new index to S & P. The new index will be the S&P/TSE 60 index and the companies making up the index will be announced at the end of November.

You can bet that Newbridge will be one of the companies making up the new index. This will mean more buying by funds and institutions in Canada and the U.S. as well as international investors who buy Canadian stocks for index funds. Some are probably already buying Newbridge in anticipation of the new index but you can bet there will be plenty of buying in early December.
