High Grader, I own one book by Gann, "How to make profits in commodities". He speaks in a very veiled language, imo. I have not made much trading sense out of the book. You hit the nail on the head about selling secret methods. Fortunately, most modern day Gann experts I come across also speak in a veiled language, so I guess all those great secrets are still going unnoticed!<g> I am unfamiliar with Gann's other work, but many make claims about his success as a speculator... or lack thereof. One thing... I think the tax laws re: speculation were changed during the depression, so even if Gann was a successful speculator, the fact is he shifted to course/book selling and newsletter writing, after the crash, to bring the bacon home. I would not call Gann stuff red herring... I just seriously question whether it's worth the effort. FWIW, talk to you later Regards, Frank

Read Gann's book "Tunnel Through The Air"

He says that many will have to read it 3 times to
assimilate what he says and it does take time.

I first read it 15 years ago and then was surprised when
I read it in 1997 ( having look at it several other times
) I could not believe that I had missed key sections of
the book.

go figure.
