Maurice - Seriously OT as I stay up to see the meteor shower (which will probably be a bust anyway). Actually, Maoris are now a specially endowed human species with special privileges - though as always with such ideas, the definition and identification is getting tricky. We Pakeha will have to wear a star on our sleeve or number tattooed on our forehead at birth or something so that officals can know we are second class. Should be easy enough to rectify. Can't you just call yourself a Maori if you 'feel Maori'. When I was over there I was told that was the criteria when filling out the census. And heck, no one would ever know anyway since the only 'Maori' I met had blond hair (her great grandmother was full Maori, but that was enough to get her the job as a Maori rep in a government office). Clark PS As far as being a woman, she said the only problems she had were in attending Maori functions, so she stopped going.

OT** Maurice, good going catching my snide remark! It is a delicate matter to place back door comments without the aid of a wink and a nod. No problem with hired guns, I am glad that the US finally saw the light and now for the most part lets the hired guns do their jobs. Bush called off the dogs too early in my opinion and then did not support those who were attempting to finish the job. The world does not like Suddam, so why is everyone walking on egg shells? If he was a common citizen in most countries of the world the bum would be behind bars or 6 feet under. Too often being 'the head of state' gets you a 'get out ot jail free card'. We should hunt these SOBs down and put them away. We would if the masses they repressed had a larger world lobby. How did the showers go? Looks like another chicken little story. I have seen reports that the next spin through the tail (6 months?) should be even bigger! Ya sure. Have a good one. Jeff Vayda
