Alex,
Supporting JAVA and entering the mainstream is the best thing Microsoft can do right now. There is tremendous momentum behind JAVA and the new markets it is likely to create. People even say it has worked on other "planets" -- MARS!

The best business strategy for Microsoft is to compromise and get this behind them. The DOJ and 20 states have built a strong case this time around. They'll continue to pound Microsoft as new evidence kicks in. There is even talk about expanding the scope of the anti-trust case. SQL*Server, Web TV, their middleware are all potential candidates to be added to that list.

This case is all about business principles and practices. Microsoft still has an opportunity to take corrective action. Playing hard ball at this stage of the game is NOT a smart strategy. I'm not sure if some of the financial analysts are getting the correct message or even understand the complexity of the case going forward.

Does anyone here believe that SUNW is *not* technically extended at 67 3/4?
