To all:

Just a word from someone who has experienced the "click of death" problem. I bought a zip drive about 4 years ago not long after they were introduced. About 6 or 8 months later, the drived started the clicking noise but would operate after a while. After about a month of this it would not come up at all. I called Iomega and they told me to send it to them free of charge. I did and had it back in less than a week. No disks were destroyed, nothing was lost, other than a few days to get it repaired for free. I've been using it for the past 3 years with no problems. This is not the only peripheral I've ever had a problem with, but Iomega's handling of it was very professional, as good as I've ever experienced. We use zip's where I work all the time and have never had a problem with any of them. So what's the big deal???

Enjoy the day.
