How hot is hot? My internal modem generates heat, as well as my external cable modem.

If its slowing down just when you are on SI, post here:

A number of us are finding SI slow. We can't figure out what the cause is.

Prospector,
One thought, if you leave the computer on 24 hours a day do you delete your history and temp. internet files every so often. I connect to the internet with a four year old computer and a 56k x2 winmodem. If I don't delete the files daily the computer slows down.
Doug

To all,
Had a problem two weeks ago when I ran time and sales on a high volume stock. The computer didn't freeze but a click would take 15 - 20 seconds to execute. I connect with a old pentium @ 48 - 52k. Is the computer too slow to handle the down load of information or is it the ISP? This was a bad situation to be in when trying to sell half of my position at the open. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Doug
