SEEK and RNWK

The bid/ask spread is funny preopen (not unusual) for both these, but if they do tank, the downside potentials for shroters are as follows:

RNWK - 34 highside, 25 lowside
SEEK - 27 highside, 20 lowside

That is, if they drop, tohose are the possible minimums based on chart action for volume buying patterns over the last 3 months. Highside is the probably drop, lowside is my guesstimate of macximum drop. But, hey, market could be contrary and buy in after the first dip if they see those initial drops as a good deal - so either be fast or guess right - any other method will cost you money.

09:21 ET Bluefly Inc (BFLY) 7 7/8: --Update-- Online retailer announces that it has formed a strategic alliance with Lycos (LCOS). Under the terms of the deal, Bluefly will be accessible throughout the Lycos Network on Lycos.com, Tripod and MailCity sites through a combination of advertising, commerce and promotional programs which are set to begin before the Thanksgiving Day holiday. BFLY indicated 6 pts higher. BFLY trades on the Nasdaq SmallCap market.

09:09 ET Preview Travel (PTVL) 14 11/16: Issue rose 1 7/8 pts yesterday following Needham & Co's bullish comments. Briefing.com wrote a Story Stock on the company late in the day detailing Needham's comments and comparing company's numbers to those of other category leaders. PTVL currently indicated 1 pt higher.

09:04 ET Texas Instruments (TXN) 72 1/4 unch: BB Robertson Stephens upgrades shares from "buy" to "strong buy."

09:02 ET Creative Computers (MALL) 29 3/4: Issue soared 11 7/8 pts yesterday on news company's wholly-owned subsidiary, uBid, has filed its S-1/A form with the SEC to bring the company public. Based on the 7.33 mln uBid shares Creative Computer will own at the close of the IPO, the company's stake is currently worth approx. $9.20 to $9.91 per MALL share. See Yesterday's Story Stock for additional comments. Currently, MALL bid up another 2 1/2 pts in pre-market.

08:54 ET CNBC Appearances: The CEO of Bluefly Inc (BFLY), an online clothing retailer, was interviewed on CNBC this morning. Yesterday, BFLY shares rose 1 5/16 and are indicated 2 1/2 pts higher this morning. BFLY trades average daily volume of 35,000 shares; 52-week range 1 1/2 to 8 1/2. The stock also trades warrants under the symbol "BFLYW," which yesterday advanced 11/16 to 3 1/16.
