I think it is a great daytrading opportunity. ( edit - for shorters - down 35 cents while I wrote this)

but I think the concept is a farce - I come from a retail background - They have set margins for categories. The concpet that you can put in a low bid and expect to get a deal like at a good ole country auction is a lovely concept but nothing but a marketing ploy.

They have minimum prices they will let stuff go at and guarenteed you will not be buying anything lower than the accepted margins - just like buying a car. There are certain prices it aint gonna happen.

Having said all of that I truly beleive that much business will be done over the net in the future - especially on the big business industrial side and to some extent on the retail side and many concepts will have enormous potential.

when the furor slows down and I can get a grip on this one I will do the numbers which I have not even looked at and determine if it is a long term short or even a long term hold.

For now it is nothing more than a gimmick. great for this thread though
