Sorry about the misunderstanding--I must have not been too clear. I didn't mean that at all. I have no idea about payment terms. I don't know what they would do with the slots other than let Echostar keep using the one. If you look at the map, they are way out slots suitable only for what Echostar is doing. That is, they use the 61.5W slot to provide local programming to Eastern and Midwestern cities(Chicago stations are picked up there). Echostar uses their own slot at 140-something to cover the west coast cities. The three full CONUS(continental US) DBS slots are 101(DirecTV), 110(MCI/ASkyB), and 119(Echostar).
