Thanks very much for this article on Paul Krugman. Sounds fascinating and level-headed. Level-headed economist might be an oxymoron? <g> Will definitely look into getting his book.

There are so many varied opinions on the economy and what's going on that it's really difficult to get a clear view. This is one of the reasons I like to stick to the actual numbers, even if they are revised later. But that way we can use the numbers to sort of assess the current climate without having to listen to the mostly biased press.

I especially liked his observation that the Fed's policy is already appropriate . It would be difficult to argue that the Fed is doing things poorly given the employment situation and the jobs growth as well as market appreciation.
