thanks both of you for saying they were way too high. I said the same on mb thread early this morning. but it is good to hear it from people like you who have experience.

Yep, that is why I said you have to do puts about 20 or 30 bucks into the money and a month or two out, or sell (write) calls. You could short the stock, but it has been very difficult to find shares to borrow and people have now and then been getting force buybacks because their brokers lost the long shares borrowed. I knew this FO could in theory happen to shorts, among all the other risks like having the stock run 40% against you in 3 days, but I have never seen forced covers occur before, due to the broker losing the stock. This is truly a POS. -nfg-
