If that was not your intention then you need classes on how to conduct yourself. There are much more appropriate ways to get information. As it stands right now there is going to be a continuing reluctance to your presence for some time to come.

Check out the local Dale Carnegie course nearest you. You, IMHO, need a refresher course in "How to win friends and influence people"
