Hi Linda, I've a small brain, but big shoulders. Sure, you can blame me!

Glad you liked the "hand picked Staff" comment! I just couldn't help myself!

Marcie's been around SI for a long time. I think VLSI has just frustrated lots of us in the last year. Her M.O. indicates she'd a long term investor that rarely sells anything. My asset base isn't big enough to do that (yet!). Although it's rare that I bail out of a stock completely, once in a while I do.

This time around with VLSI, I own twice my previous peak number of shares. This time around, I let my Cash Reserve on VLSI go to negative values. Let's hope I'm right THIS TIME AROUND!!!

Everyone seems to think that the smaller cap semis are ripe for consolidation. If it comes, I'll live with it. If it doesn't, I'm prepared to wait and watch sales, book value and (if managed correctly) earnings start to grow again.

Sometimes I think I'm nuts for being invested in small caps. Life's so much easier with the large caps. Maybe I should just buy a small cap fund and be done with this part of the portfolio. Buy a Nifty Fifty fund for the rest. Ho Hum. How boring!!

Best regards, Tom
