I hate to do this, but... YOU IDIOT! Why write Java code that isn't "pure Java"?

I assume that his company is in the same position as the previous company in the story: they write specifically for Windows. Since they write for Windows then they have the option of using Microsoft's interface and getting acceptable performance or Sun's Snail-Java interface and not selling their product because it runs like a dog.

You know, Real World vs Ivory Tower Purity issues.

Since I never made that quote you posted to me, I would hope you are not calling me an IDIOT. I am assuming that you are calling Zor Gorolev the Idiot. :)

I agree 100% with your response to whoever made this statement. Anyone dumb enough to develop non-pure Java code deserves what he gets. If you live by the MSFT sales job of "follow the MSFT homogenious world" - then you must also die by MSFT's unpure moves in Java.
