What? No mention of the new alliance with Deutsch Bank, one of the
biggest in Germany? Now Amtd customers can trade European stocks
as well by direct internet access as soon as it is closed.

Apparently some of you have short memories. A couple of years ago
AOL was having all kinds of trouble, it was growing so fast it couldnt
handle the traffice. However, what most people missed was the fact
they were adding market share like mad and the reason for the delays
was equipment for sure, but only because of the unbelievable demand
for their service. Well, it was about that time that Billionaire
Paul Allen sold out his 30% for about 29 bucks. Then , lo and behold, they solved the tech problems and to the satisfaction of all
the critics quit harping, but the investors have made a fortune.
The name of the game on the net is to get as much market share as
you can because in a couple of years it will all be over but the
shouting. Ricketts of Ameritrade knows this, and he will solve the
tech problems, but he is adding new accounts as fast as he can.
I am not an employee, but a substantial investor who missed the
boat on AOL because I thought their service would preclude them from
ever becoming a good investment. I dont have to learn twice..
good luck..My guess is that these early online companies will be
bought out at a nice profit by the big international bankers who want access to people with money and dont care much about charging
large commissions as long as they can have access to the people with bucks to play with.....Gil
