Just sold short AMZN for one and only one reason - because OtherChap went long. If you check his previous posts you'll see that the best they to make money is this:
he goes long - you short, he goes short - you long. He is very consistent...

OC,

Another great move on your part! You can't get anything right, but thanks for letting us know what not to do!

Hank

Oc, hang in there; it may pull back some short-term but the longer trend is your friend.

Just closed my AMZN short positions for a 30% loss, and I just went completely long on AMZN. I
think we'll see 200 before they announce the split.

OC, are you a contrarian indicator?

AMZN. I think we'll see 200 before they announce the split. Ponzi scheme or not, there
is no money to be made on the downside. Every day thousands of new ETRADE and
schwab and Datek customers come online, and they're all buying AMZN.

OC,

I can never tell when you are telling the truth. However, the close indicated this was not the time to go long. Of course, there is the 3:1 stock split. Wish you the best.

Glenn

*shaking my head* at OC. Dude, sorry but I have to laugh. You have pretty rough luck. According to the daily chart, you closed your short sales and went long when AMZN was close to $167.50. Then within 20 minutes AMZN goes off a cliff to 153.

Well, who knows. You will more than likely get a chance to correct your mistake without a loss, when AMZN retests the high. Due to the 3:1 split already in Dec., you may profit a fair amount if you hang long for a month.

Good luck.

Congrads on going long! You'll make back whatever you lost and then some! Good timing, eh? ;-)
