Sun, your design sounds like a "PowerGlove" device. True?

Like you I'm just looking for something that works well. Doesn't matter to me what it uses, as long as it gets the job done. If what you have designed works, you should make it! If you like it, others will too. And if you can't scale your costs down, I'm sure some company will either buy it from you or outright steal it. But if you can build these things cheaply, you could sell them yourself! God knows I pay about $100+ a year on controllers. Good luck on the drivers, BTW.

Be careful if you present this to a company for licensing. A friend of a friend designed a joystick for the Mac back in 1985 or 1986 and presented it to Epyx (I think). They looked at it, told him it wouldn't sell, and came out with HIS design 2 years later! I never found out whether he won his lawsuit.

If you want someone to review your design so far, I'd be happy to. I'd only be able to offer interface suggestions, since I'm not an engineer. (2+ years of EE in college don't count anymore; if you don't use it you lose it.)

Cheers,
Timbur
