Lee & Lynn .. max-pain for DELL November.

When I saw Ben's max-pain for DELL last weekend, I decided to try to do the calcs for myself, so I could use them on other stocks. When I totaled the OI values for calls and puts for Nov strike of 55, 57.5, 60, 62.5, 65 and 70. My calcaltions showed that the max-pain would be at 62.50.

I decided to keep my sheet and see how we came out at expiry. Right now it looks to me like will be around the 62.5 - 63 level. The degradation in DELL price over the past couple of days has really been minimal and I believe that after expiry we'll see the stock gradually start climbing up again.

regards,
Laura

btw, Ben's chart showed max-pain on DELL @ 55

At the risk of sounding foolish, with regards to "OI", what does it stand for?
