Jimbo Cobb...although your cpq/intc scenario,
concerning the chip purchase is very entertaining,
the decision is made on a much more professional (less emotional level). There are probably business incentives involved that dictate the action also.

On the reverse side...why wouldn't INTC use a need from CPQ, for chips, to lock in higher qty of purchases in the future... and also use the opportunity to rebuild a possibly stressed relationship (as you have described).
Consider both sides.
