>Now, that is not to say those folks don't make money. They do indeed! Out of the student's pockets.<

Yup - I would need to go back and read the NEWSWEEK article again but, as I recall, the sims, tapes and all paid him something like 10 mil + last year but his stock trades actually lost money!

>Me, I have a concience and values which would not make it in his organization or nor his in mine!<

Boy, that sure gets in the way of getting rich sometimes, doesn't it? I have blown more than one business deal because I wouldn't go along with something I didn't think was right.

Never could understand how so many people can so easily seperate their business life and ethics from the rest of their life. Some of the bigggest crooks in town are leaders in their church!

What are the threads thoughts on how to handle stocks you might have bought long ago, that you have gains on, let us take intc as an example, though it has shot up lately, assume it is at 90 and has been yo yoing between 60 and 90.
If your CC's get called then you pay a price in taxes now, how can one avoid that, Far out of the money does n't seem worth the effort.

Q2, How is CC income taxed? after the position is closed or expires or is it income as soon as you write the call.

Herm,
Just caught your discourse on cc. (starting from the beginning).
I have 2000 shares of Dell with a cost basis of approx. $32.00 share.
If you were in this position selling 20 contracts at Jan 70 at 3.125
would seem to be a easy pick up of $6500. Do you agree or would you do something different.
