An interesting little snippet I found. Ascend an internet stock? (from Street.com. The person quoted is some mutual fund manager. An easier way for "traditional" investors to play in the Internet is with companies such as Cisco (CSCO:Nasdaq) and Ascend (ASND:Nasdaq) which have risen of late "to a certain extent reflecting the belief Internet sector is going to continue to be strong," he said. Klee is long both Cisco and Ascend and compared them to companies that profited from the California gold rush of the late 1840s, such as pick and shovel makers and Levi Strauss.
