Michael, I think investors are getting smarter about pickpocketing that is done by analysts and institutions. Analysts pronouncements do not have the effect they used to. Witness the doubling of Micron and INTC after Kurlak of Merrill Lynch issued a sell recommendation. Jeff Vinik of fidelity Magellan used to routinely drive prices up before dumping his shares and drive them down before buying. If you have a few billion to play with you can pretty much set the price of any stock.

<<Shouldn't It be mandatory, Brokers be held accountable for their OPINIONS" on Our Money they are infulencing? Or is this the Men's Club and we get the scoop when they throughout the TRASH?>>

Darn it, Michael, I used to have a link to a site that tracked and matched analyst's estimates and opinions with the subsequent performance of the company being reviewed; coverage was about a 24 month window from the analyst's opinion. Anybody know the link for this? Provided quite a few laughs! ("Beaten down unreasonably from a high of $76, Intergalatic Widget appears to be our best buy recommendation at $18. Appears poised for a dynamic upward move." Then the site would show that the stock was selling at $3 1/4 twelve months later. Believe it or not, some analysts were pretty good with their calls, overall.)
