(splitting a stock does absolutely nothing to help the company or the small investor. Its just a bunch of crap, $10,000 buys exactly the same amount of the company either way)

Your words of wisdom has me LOL! What you are saying is that the stock market is a fraud. Sounds to me you're in the wrong business wiseguy!

Split provides liquidity and affordability, which makes the stock appreciate much faster. It costs the same at the time of split. However, there is a mad scramble to sell <250*2 = 500 shares, so let me sell 250 and keep 250> and a mad scramble to buy <I can buy 100 shares now which I could not afford earlier >
