andyman <<Please share with all of us your comparison of the three product>> Just got back from an emergency visit to the hospital. To begin with...a little groundwork and I hope this is along the lines you are talking. I'll add more along as I have time. I do not have a copy of PMA. I plan to have it soon. Would you give info. on PMA's comparisons after I add more messages on these two? Part I 1. TC-2000 is one CD and updates are $29.95 permonth for unlimited use.Program is free at the current time but could cost according to how it is ordered and who from. 2. WOW is a boxed program and sold off the shelf under many names. TRhe copy I have is Windows on Wall Street Deluxe Investor 5.0. 3. PMA is a boxed program and sold off the shelf at Staples(in the future) and thru INC.Price is less than $100.00. No idea on update costs. Personally, I use TC-2000 and the info. is downloaded most anytime for $29.95/month. The program costs previous Dos users from nothing to $39.95 and up (depending on where you see it advertised). Their service is by using an 800 number or a direct connect through the net and a persons ISP. Chart data cane be imported and exported to other programs. I carry the CD from place to place and call in from there to use the service on that computer. There is no charge for this but there is a charge for extra "seats" of added computers using the program. News and notes(Worden Bros.) are a available on an almost nightly basis on the website and with the download, or during the day - if that's the way you want to handle it. As far as I know, everything I want is included in the monthly charge. Their web site is tc2000.com for more info. When you sighn up, you are given a year of use in their website. Used to cost $89.00/year. Notes on WOW...when I tried it... 1997 to 1998...keep getting the historical cds. Windows on Wall Street Deluxe Investor 5.0 was one of 3 programs under the same basic name from early 1992. They have an email address at wowinfo@wallstreet.net and had an initial address of wallstreet.net A new address now is windowonwallstreet.com The program came with a large, heavy manual which I discarded for the most part after loading the program. An initial free cd update was included in the deal and I called for it after loading the program and spending some time with it. The cost of this program was $89.00 though Sam's Warehouse. The additional cds came on a quarterly basis at a fair price but the data I wanted to look into was already available in other forms and up to date daily or each night. Cds: historical updates are $14.95 a month w/$4.95 shipping thru the WOW CD Club. (Starting out in 1996, I didn't have a lot of experience in using any charting or stock data programs. Downloading data on a daily basis was not my cup of tea and seemed a pretty expensive way to make money. I left end of day downloads alone in this program and continued to use TC-2000 in it's Dos form. Along the way Worden Bros. came out with their own version of a windows based charting and info program). In the program , charting of var. types is available, research of info. is possible. the historical data can be used/merged with other data and imported as in TC-2000. There are library modules and you can use Dow Jones or the Compuserve research nodes.Comes with a news viwer and so on. Their programs and names have changed some along the way, as is seen on their website and in reviewing their new capabilities. Currently WOW has several different plans starting with a basic delayed service(free)...enhanced basic service($10.00 minimum/month) Their description is as follows FREE BASIC SERVICE (Delayed)Track up to 20 or 100 securities and indexes a day.
