I have also heard that settlement trades often occur in the after-market period as well.

One thing worth noting that made me buy more NSCP just before the runup yesterday was that last week there was an analyst increasing the earning forecast for the 10/98 quarter. This was really odd to me - my source was Microsoft Investor. I read ove the page twice before I believed it - the 10/98 quarter.
