that is enough misery for a day-trader. agreed their orders sometimes get filled very quickly, but no guarantee of the price..usually the worst. today i lost some 1000 dollars thanks to their fucked up servers. u just keep jumping like a monkey from one server to another and when timing is critical that is nothing worse than that.

Datek is FAST, and "honest". They work directly through Island ECN and don't sell order flow. Place an order between B-A and it shows up instantaneously in most cases. And qoute updates are usually pretty fast. I also get many sale fills at ask and buy fills at bid, and an occasional order improvement. Not quite like having someone work the trades for you, but it's fast and easy. I don't use their research, as I do 100% my own and occasionally look to see what the "SA" is doing, but their tools are pretty good. I don't have LII nor have the flexibility to use it for now, so Datek does it for me. It does have its bad days at open, but overall I'm very satisfied.
