Eric- I received the following e-mail from e-trade, based on an inquiry. It looks like you have to wait a few days to see the cash credited to your account. I personally had a sufficient number of shares so that I did not have any partial shares. I checked my account yesterday and it appears e-trade handled the accounting correctly.
--------------------
Thank you for choosing E*TRADE. TBR has spun off into 12 separate
companies.
The correct holdings should now appear in your account positions screen and
you may
place a trade on them at any time.

Here is a listing of each company and the rate:

TSP 1.00, TCS .20, TNE 1.00, EMT 1.00, TCP .40, TSD .20, TMB .05, TSU .10,
TND .05,
TBE .02, TRO .3333, TCN .020.

You may calculate the shares of TBR you held and multiply them by the rate
provided to
determine the number of new shares you own. Fractional shares are credited
as cash
in lieu and should appear in your account on November 24, 1998, where
appropriate.

The official record of your E*TRADE holdings can be found under the My
Account tab through the Account Balances, Accounts Positions and Account
Activity links on the left side of the page. Also available under the My
Account tab are the unofficial Unrealized Gains and Losses and Tax Records
links.

The Portfolio & Markets tab will provide you access to the customizable
Portfolio Summary tool.
Using the Portfolio Manager link you can add, delete, or modify the
information on this screen at
any time. Whenever you buy or sell, a stock or option through E*Trade, we
will automatically update
these records. However, you will need to modify these records to reflect
changes from a stock split,
symbol change, mutual fund purchase, a transfer or deposit of shares into
your account.

The Portfolio Manager may be used to create new portfolios as well. If you
would like to track
stocks that you are speculating on, hold through a company stock purchase
plan, hold at another
brokerage account, or hold in certificate form, this can be a great tool.

Note: Changes you make to your E*TRADE Portfolio Summary are for tracking
purposes
only and will not affect your official records. Please be sure to refer to
Account Positions
for an official record of your holdings at E*TRADE.

For additional assistance, please contact us at 1-800-786-2575, Monday
through Friday,
from 8:00am to 9:00 EST or refer to the E*Station Service Center or Learning
Center
Links. E*Station provides detailed instructions, definitions, and services
to assist you in navigating
your E*TRADE account.

Sincerely,

Sam D'Alessandro
