OK, Little City pathos. You're right, of course. It's bottomless, isn't it?

House of the Rising Sun was one of those first "songs" I lernt on the gittar. I remember that.

There was a dispute between Dash and his brother, over the lyric "And the only time, he'll be uh-satisfied; is when, he's all, a drunk." Dash's brother sez it's "....is when, he's on, a drunk." As in "on", as in a card game, predation, because he wuz a gamble-ing man.

Me, I say, "Is that G or F?"

We drove by the Population and City Name sign today. It was 4475 when we moved here, 22 years ago. Then it, eventually, well, they got a 9 and stuck it over the second four, 4975. But then the number went down for a while and they peeled it off. Then it went back up to 4975, with like a nine from a mailbox. That's close enough to 5,000 to keep everyone happy for a while. But now, today, there's a patch over the four AND the nine, and they are sixes ~ 6675.

Jesus!

What's happening!!!
