It reminds me of living four years in a theocracy ... if you did not agree with the religion, you were against it ... no one understood that many people didn't care one way of the otehr.

Have a good one, see you tomorrow.

antibash,

I disagree with your opinion. I've participated in threads (such as PeopleSoft on Yahoo) where anyone who asks a question that isn't in the realm of rah rah ziss boom bah cheerleading is subjected to intense criticism and ridiculed by the longs. And the basher label is applied. My "bash" was to question whether or not anyone felt that PSFT's P/E (then at about 62) was too high relative to its' historical PE (around 27 or 28) and relative to the software industry and the general market. Well, needless to say I was run off of that thread by the longs who were quite vicious in their criticisms. Incidentally, I was right. PSFT dropped dramatically in price, from the then 60's down to about 19.

What longs sometimes label as bashing is nothing more than a reasonably intelligent poster questioning a company's fundamentals. In a non-reporting company, you don't have verifiable numbers to debate, so invariably posters that are good at doing independent research end up posting most of what might be called negative news, while the company makes sure that good news or positive news is known through press releases and PR folks. It's really just another check and balance system between those who criticize and those who cheerlead.
