Reality check -- most Americans are busy with their day-to-day jobs to notice whether it was the Democrats, or the Republicans, or both, that made a mockery of themselves.

And the people probably won't give a rat's a** about how Starr acquitted himself. They have already decided that he is a scumbag. And today's sound-bite is not going to matter a whit, one way or the other.

Dipy.

the gross partisan mockery

Michael, I think that phrase describes this whole national circus, with regard to both sides of the aisle.

Our principles were defaced and dishonored by Democrats who have
placed their political aspirations above the rule of law and good of the country. Honesty, Integrity, Fairness, and Courage maybe principles Democrats don't feel a need to honor, by I for one think they are just plain wrong!

????They're politicians, Michael. That's what politicians do. And this is a bloodsport. This is A M E R I C A, a fractious and wild land that has always attracted the hustlers, the go-getters, and rabble-rousers of the world. It has also attracted folks with a puritanical streak, but those folks haven't had any real power for a long time.

Don't think for a second the Republicans wouldn't behave the same way if they were in the Democrats shoes. Don't fall into that partisan trap. They're no better than each other. I find it much more fun to play insider baseball than to be sitting on or the other side of the stadium cheering one or the other team on. That's boring.

BTW, I strive for honesty, integrity, fairness, and courage for myself and look for and encourage such principles in the people around me. I'm pleasantly surprised when I find such values in the actions of politicians. I never actually expect such lofty values in our elected officials.

If not for the grossly slanted liberal news organizations in America, they wouldn't feel so teflon coated.

Don't kid yourself. The press went wilding on Clinton for seven months with regard to this matter, milking it for everything it was worth. Remember, Sam "If he's not telling the truth, his presidency is numbered in days" Donaldson? The American people took one look at the facts of the case, which are not really in dispute, and decided that they would rather focus on what they'll buy with all the money they made this year--er, uh, er--I mean, uh, er, they decided that lying about sex did not meet the constitutional standard for impeachment. (Yeah, right!)
