Use your interns like sex slaves? That's a totally objective and non-partisan assessment there, Michael. Try consenting adults? You've been to college, haven't you Michael? Monica Lewinsky too. All indications are she knew exactly what she was doing, how you get coercion of any form from this is beyond me. Maybe it was explained in the Starr report?

The point is, people are not so upset about Clinton's actions after the affair, because the affair itself was no great threat to democracy and anyone can understand lying to avoid the shame of being disclosed. Your examples don't work, IMO. How about running a porno ring out of the Oval office, would that be ok? Running any kind of business out of the Oval office would be improper and illegal. I daresay if Clinton were caught reading porn in the White House, the public reax would be the same as the affair: what magazine? Ho-hum. Or better yet, how about running a male prostitution ring out of the west wing? Would that be alright too? The only thing worse than running a business out of the White House would be running an illegal business. It's ok son, lie under oath, cheat on mom, If anything, it's like see son, what happens when you lie under oath and cheat on your woman? and treat and use your interns like sex slaves. It was consensual sex. No evidence of S&M games. If there were the reax would be the same: what games? ho hum.
