Arthur- I am sure that the thrust of your argument has occurred to MD, but I'm am equally sure that his first (and foremost) concern is his family here (and not the shareholders)....and that the decision (to have security) would not be based on our concerns, but the concerns of his family (or his own).........Obviously, I have no idea what his security arrangements are....

I do agree with you that a man (of his profile) should have security nearby at all times....although many in his position want to live the "normal" life...it is probably not realistic anymore..unfortunately...

BTW- I live only blocks away from Versace's former estate in Miami Beach....obviously, he was a higher profile guy, but he loathed security, wanted to live a "normal" life, and, paid a terrible price for it...(although it is not totally clear if a bodyguard(s) could have done anything in his case).....

Anyway, I feel certain that the issue (of security) has been carefully considered by MD (probably on an on-going basis), and, equally, that his decision on the matter(ultimately) will not be based on shareholder pressure of any sort...

If you are really worried about this happening.....you can discount the stock based on the risk of something happening here...In that case, I would think that the stock should receive an (ever-so-slight) reduction...less than a point (?)...Would that really change your investment decision to hold the company ??? Many would argue that your concerns are ALREADY reflected in the price of the stock...

if an event of that nature took place
While M.D.'s security is not an in your face kind of bodyguard entourage I would not recommend going to his house uninvited or trying to walk up to his office without an appointment.
