Alan,

Good comment. If I was just starting out with L2 DELL would be the last stock I would trade. Something sleepy like SEEK, NSCP, etc gives much more possibilities of "realistic" executions via all routes Kaz mentioned than DELL.

Alan,

Now that's a real possibility! However, shouldn't a market SOES order go through anyway?

I have not tried executions on other stocks simply because I've been concentrating solely on DELL for the past few months. My system works great ON PAPER. I'm not terribly aware of other stocks with decent volatility but reduced volume. I have charts up for SEEK and NTCP. I'll assume today is a rare day for Netscape as it has more action than Dell. SEEK seems okay. Do you have any recommendations for other Daytradeable stocks? I'd appreciate any help.

Regarding the advanced course at EliteTrader, I'm leery of it. I read the Level II tutorial and, though it claims to be as real life as possible, it seems to me that it actually assumes best case senarios. Maybe I'm jaded from following Dell so closely, but it's rare for MMs to display anything like their actual bid/ask sizes. How many times have I seen 5 or more MMs on one side being satiated by one MM on the other with only 500 or 1000 shares listed. And the price doesn't go anywhere, or actually eats up the side with lots of MMs and the price reverses.

I would welcome any comments from those who have taken the course, or have found other sources that go deeply into execution routing.

Thanks again.

Paul Kaz
