I have such a high regard for the quality of the posts and the acumen of the posters on this thread that I have been reluctant to post. However, I would like to make an observation about the current price of the stock. Although I am optimistic about the future of Valence and am a little in awe of the potential of this stock for profitability, I am still nervous watching the price drift down throughout the day and then recover a little at the end. The volume is down. The buying pressure seems to have totally subsided. And, the excitement is waning.

If Valence produces as we are hoping it should start with a bang and then ramp up. The demand for the product will easily outstrip the company's capacity to produce for quite a while. Eventually, competition and new products will play a significant role and Valence will have new dogs barking at the door. It seems a good anticipatory price for the stock is in the range of $8-$9 as the market has demonstrated. We already reached that range and now the price is slipping ever so slowly. Why? I believe it is because there was a very real expectation that Comdex would be the launching platform. One poster here made several predictions that Nov 16 was the big date. Well, Nov 16 has come and gone with no announcement. In fact Comdex has been searched from top to bottom for Valence product and no credible sitings have been made. So, the less patient and more cautious take their profits and run. Most have hung around and there hasn't been much erosion. The lower volumes and fairly stable prices lately attest to that fact.

Another type of post that has led to current selling is the one which predicts the price to be at $10 or so by the end of the week. How could any one know that will happen? Why even say it? Saying it certainly won't make it happen.

The launch is coming. Hopefully, it will be triggered by some real event and not hype or false information. Those always lead to disappointment and unnecessary erosion of price.

I have loved the dialog on this thread and would love to see its integrity maintained. It is getting to be rare, even on SI. Hopefully, the cheerleaders will be cautious and state facts, not fluff. Optimism and positivity are one thing. Empty cheers are another. It is like the fans who stand at the tee at golf tournaments and shout "you the man" every time someone tees off. This thread is above that level and I hope it stays there.

Hey John-

Just reviewing the trading action over the last week (you know i LOVE TA) and i have come to the following conclusions:

The stock has definately firmed above 7

I strongly believe there is still alot of $$ on the side that will very soon come into the stock. I can't see the mm's allowing us to get above 7.5 today because of options...BUT

We will hit $9 next week...at least. all indicators point to a retest of last weeks 8 15/16ths intra day high.

If we had fallen below $6.75, the analysis would have resulted in a much more bearish short term outlook.

I'm glad I'm long.

Good Luck and speak to you soon.

HC

Thank you for the recognition, John! The seemingly scary part is that I can actually do this!
