Brice, >>>Bandwidth WARS; who's going to win?<<<

Just in case you didn't notice - I'm not a rocket scientist or an expert in any of these subjects. But, I do have a lot of opinions. For me, the most important aspect of my investment involve trying to understand the personalities of the people behind the cos.

WRT Bandwidth Wars, I find Level Three Communications (LVLT) an interesting company because of the people behind it. They are Warren Buffett types. In fact they are Warren Buffett's landlord in Omaha. They have earned their money the old fashioned way. They do what they say they are going to do and they make lotsof money for themselves and for their investors. They have a tremendous track record.

On a valuation basis (something this thread wants you to think they obssess about) investing in LVLT does not make any sense whatsoever - but if you look at the history of what these people have done for their investors then this is a much more attractive investment.

Regards,

Mary
