Kelly the way i t works is that in a NON-HOSTILE takeover, the shareholder rights package would NOT be activated so dont worry about it.

Craig, Your problem may be in using current prices. Shown below is a table of tech/communication stocks with prices and other data as of Aug 26, 1998. The stock closest to 125 on that date was DELL, at 129. Since that date (on Sept 8, 1998) DELL split 2 for 1. But on Aug 26, DELL closed at 128.625.
