This is bound to attract the "usual" media gladflies who will remark how great the stock is doing or throw out something about how stock splits tend to move stocks up. This was an almost perfectly contrived stock promotion and insider sell-off. Such a grand scale compared to the company's actual revenues. A few hundred million in revenues and hundreds of millions in debt and losses that generate hundreds of millions in insider selling right at the height of a splurge of announcements, PR, a de-facto secondary, and then when it looks like the steam is running down, announce a split. The inevitable crash after the insiders have sold will result in several lawsuits, IMO. Not to worry, the company insiders will be rich beyond their wildest dreams and only the speculators will be left wondering "what happened to high flying Amazon?"
