Bob, I'll probably listen to the call sometime today. There sure doesn't appear to be much anticipation for any significant news coming out of the call, as volume today is low and little movement.

Regards,
Bob

Bob, I listened to the conference call and it primarily reviewed the various presentations by the different groups and surgeons. It wasn't geared specifically for GENZL investors. The real news came from the only question, a three parter, at the end. The first part asked about the new instrument prospects. GENZL said that the first instrument will be available by the middle of next year, but will be used for current open procedures. It's a device that will hold a tack insert to apply the carticel.

The second part of the question dealt with the status of the arthoscopic procedure. GENZL said they are developing another multiple tack device which would need to be curved so that it could be inserted in a small opening, and that it would hold multiple tacks so that there wouldn't be a need to open multiple holes in the knee for the procedure. They may have it available by the end of next year.

The third part of the question dealt with the new tissue welding technology. GENZL said that use of of the new technology would require clinical testing first and that they didn't see it available in the marketplace for 4-5 years.

The stock price certainly didn't reflect any significant news coming out of the conference. Let me know if you picked up anything that was meaningful to you that I may have missed.

Regards,
Bob
