God its great to see a "flatline for awhile"!! Good "normal trading" has settled in!! If the stock ends today still consolidating, then I think we could bounce of the $2.99 for a while next week!

Amazon to split again:

BEFORE THE BELL - Amazon.com up on split

NEW YORK, Nov 20 (Reuters) - Shares in Amazon.com Inc. surged in pre-opening trade Friday after the Internet retailer said it would split its stock three-for-one.

Amazon.com stood at 167 on the Instinet electronic trading system, up from a 153-1/4 Thursday closing price.

The company said after markets closed Thursday that its board had approved a three-for-one split. The extra shares will be delivered on or about Jan. 4.

Among other active Internet issues, America Online Inc. (AOL - news) was up at 86-1/4 from a close of 83-12/16. eBay Inc. (EBAY - news) was up at 144 from a close of 143-12/16.

BEA Systems Inc. (BEAS - news) tumbled to 12, a 12-month low, from a close of 26-6/16 after the company reported a third-quarter loss of $0.09 a share. A First Call consensus estimate had forecast a profit of $0.06 a share for the software systems producer.

Lycos Inc. (LCOS - news) was up at 63-1/2 from a close of 62.

Cendant Corp. (CD - news) rose to 14-3/4 from a close of 14-1/4 after the company agreed to sell its consumer software unit to France's Vivendi.
