Actually, neither Microsoft or Dell were public companies 18 years ago (Microsoft went public in 86, Dell in 88). If you got a piece of Intel at its public offering 27 years ago, you would be sitting on a thousand-banger. Pretty nifty, huh?

You're too nice. Many (not all) gold bugs are stupid and irrational investors, fixated on the singularly silly idea that the money in your pocket isn't worth squat.
