It was interesting to watch the real "panic buying" at the open. Within minutes over 1.2 million shares had traded and the stock was near it's highs. Lots of small orders and several 1,000 share orders going in at the ask - my guess is that the larger orders were professional short-selling by hedge funds and others. Some of the west coast attorneys will start grumbling into their offices shortly . . . time for more sniffing around which ones are active with NZMA.
