I've got some good news.

A friend of mine just purchased a 450 Mhz Pentium II Dell machine with a Riva TNT. He is returning the Riva TNT and is on his way to CompUSA to pick up a Banshee card.

The reason? Apparently Need for Speed III sucks in Direct3D mode relative to Glide. He got a poor frame rate and display quality relative to what I demonstrated on my Voodoo2.

I think it's down due to the usual suspect.

"Sell on the news"

Now that Comdex is over and the announcements are out some folks are taking profit.

I am not worrying about it. I don't think the drop is due to TNT vs. V3.

Wall street is obviously not impressed with the Bender "Entertainment Company" business plan, and the new products announced this week don't seem to have that old Voodoo either. Time to consider a buyout in my opinion. Or (gulp) merge with nVidia.
