Keith I totally agree. From a practical point of view, It is easier to follow if ongoing discussion regarding any particular stock can be found on that stock's thread. I have so many threads highlited that it becomes cumbersome when you have to look for info on one stock on more than one thread. This thread is great for discussions like the ones we had earlier regarding Cdn Banks/Discount Brokerages (thanks for that Chief), but it can also be used as a good place for a quick "heads up" on one that is moving one way or another! That way it becomes a very useful source as long as we keep out the hypsters and applaud the "heads upsters", like you Chief.

I have just gone over all of the posts and appreciate your points. I have also identified the problem. All of the people I was responding to were posting to the BII thread too. As a result I (and they probably)were answering on both threads when we actually thought we were answering 90% of these on the BII thread!!
Gypsy/JohnL/Steelguy/and others were carrying on a conversation on the BII thread and because things were moving so quick, most people just clicked on the message and answered it, not realizing that it was posted from the Daytraders thread. For that I apologize!!

That said:

It sounded like some people were placing a bet at the race track instead of following rather sound day trading rules. Statements like "it should blow through $3.50 later today" or "close near $4.00" - are nothing but fluff. There was nothing to base those numbers on and this thread just becomes a bunch of hype at that point.

I take exception to that statement! I don't criticize anybodies analysis. This stock was an exception to the rule, there were about 5 estimations put forth based on that momentum, using volume and MACD predictions unfortunately 2 of them appeared on this thread, and again for that I apologize. But please lets not get into a "my theory of analysis is better than yours" discussion it is not one that anyone wins!

I started watching BII because of the large volume, short term chart and I knew internet stocks were a hot sector in the past few weeks. They released positive News, was a positive recommendation by a newsletter, etc. The Ask was getting hit at $XXX with definite support shown on the chart at $XXX. As soon as the momentum of buying picked up and it started to move I jumped in at $XXX. I have a stop-loss (mental or not) at $XXX in case the trade turns against me

Then you will likely reduce the number of people that are actively pursuing stocks during the trading day and the thread will be a post-mortem thread. Which is fine, I think that would work out better for me anyway!

I think almost everyone, including myself, has a lot to learn about short trading trading. Why doesn't everyone out there try to make an effort to share educational information with the thread when you find it

I think some are making an effort, some are "old traders" and have a set way, some are brand new traders and come to the thread looking for this information, not to furnish it....right or wrong!!
