Voltaire - Thanks to Mohan's rational thinking I stopped my self from dumping a pantload of Dell a couple of days ago. It's just been to good a stock the last couple of years to dump. It's just very hard to sit here for the last three months with zip growth.

On Nov 12 I shorted Dell [see my post 78555]. Everyone was predicting that the stock would continue to gallop upwards. I am still maintaining my short positions [70+]. This stock IMHO will retreat to the low 50's before it starts a new move upward. This is a great company and it will be higher a year from now...but not yet.
Good luck to all.

Voltaire... what did you use as the basis of your prediction for DELL's closing at 64 7/8 on expiry?

Your predictions seems to be a little more accurate than Max-Pain[tm], or my variant calculation of it.

The other point related to the afternoon timing of 2-2:30.... is this based on knowledge about when things begin to kick in on afternoon trading? My observation is that after 2 pm activity picks up a little, but in general they pick up the most in the last 45 minutes. I've seen this frequently with stocks that move up or drop (like AMZN yesterday afternoon).
