One of the analysts from the Gamelli Fund on CNBC's Stock Pick Friday was asked about YAHOO. In his explanation of YAHOO's future he asked the rhetorical question about "one's got to evaluate YAHOO's ability to grab market share, advertising and marketing from its competitiors like INFOSEEK, LYCOS, ALTAVISTA, ...."

This is the first time I've heard ALTAVISTA actually mentioned as an Internet competitor.

Michael

P.S. - I also believe we will see a late CPQ run afteroptions expiration ends later today.

I think the parent company is one of the most profitable sex site (or e-commerce site :)) around. This is the same guy who brought us Pam/Tommy video. I read an article that he is trying to bring his company public but no investment banker want anything to do with them.

Dear John: I tried to check out your site and got a message that the site was OVERLOADED. Looks to me as though SI has something to worry about here. (ggg) JDN
