Hi Gerry,
Nice to see you here. I'm a stockwatch fan and can see that you folks at working towards some good stuff. Now for my whining ... when as Abbeydale pointed out, stockwatch ticker goes down, would it be possible to put up a message? 'Error attempting to reconnect' isn't that informative. Also, when I send email, I don't like the perpetual reply 'did you try re-booting". They should carefully read the problem first. Also, a reply to every email would be nice - I sent some regarding improvements/enhancements about two weeks ago. Also, when I asked for live gold price data stream, they said all they could do is London gold fix. Can you do something about that (real time) please.

Thanks,

Gerry - your commenst are absolutely appropriate on this thread as the header of the the thread clearly indicates the purpose.. As you may have read - My damn home computer is too puny - not your problem.

How about this one - what about a RT ticker that scrolls along the bottom of your screen for those of us who have day jobs???

Gerry, I've been using stockwatch for a number of years now and have seen and benefited from a number of the improvements made to the service over this time.

As a trader though, there are some things that I would dearly love to have...things that I hope are within the scope of the technology. Here they are:

1) HiStakes mentioned a live gold ticker. That would be great!

2) The current formula base for the Stochastic indicator only allows for "fast" stochastics, which are often too wild to be of any use...just bouncing all over the place. It would be GREAT to be able to use a "slow" stochastic intraday indicator.....very useful. If you want, I'll provide you with the basic formula to build it. Private message me if you need it. I won't waste the space here. (If you're not sure how to do this, click on my name.)

3) About a hundred times a day, I am clicking around the "market view" area, searching for clues on what might be moving.....doing volume checks on the TSE and VSE...% gainers and losers. Not only is this very time consuming and tedious, the big problem is that this is "static". It is only a snapshot of that instant...until I go back and do it again...and again...and again.

Is there any way that this ENTIRE area could be moved into a fully refreshing java applet? For example: I want to see the top 50 by volume on the TSE, minimum of 10 trades, min price of .20c, max price $10.00. Could this be a java window that constantly loads and reshuffles the list of stocks that fit the criteria? I don't even care if I can click on a stock to get further details from that screen (although that would be nice) If I see something "climbing the chart", I'll go load it in my main java window to get a closer look at it.

4) Still on that "market view" area, if it can't be java, is there a way at least that a "user default values" window could be set up? It's a real drag retyping them in every time I go there.

5) Here's a bug to take a look at. Sometimes when I'm really following a stock closely, I'll have my normal intraday chart up with its indicators, but then also 1-2 other intraday charts on the SAME stock, but showing the trades by particular brokers that I'm following, i.e., up to 3 intraday's on the same stock. For some reason this is very unstable and often crashes...especially if I load them one after another. However, if I load a totally different stock into an intraday chart, and then go load my 2nd intraday on the original stock, it is usually more stable. I have no idea why....just seems to work that way. I know its not an issue with the number of intraday's I might have running at the same time. I've run as many as 5 or 6 I think at the same time...no problems at all...but all different stocks. The problem comes up when it is on the same stock.

There's more, but it can wait. These were just off the top of my head. As I said before Gerry, it's great to have you here!

Regards,

Kevin
